What is it about Robert Langdon? (spoilers)
So, I went to see the notorious Da Vinci Code on Friday (May 19th), and I am still not sure how I feel about it. I went in to the movie wanting so badly to just love it that I am not sure that I liked it because I just wanted to, or because it was in fact good. There were just so many things that I didn't agree with (in terms of veering from the original book). I mean if I had to make a list: the shadow council, Sofie's brother is dead, the documents at Roslin Church, The Sacred Feminine already being written, Fache's association with Opus Dei being skewed, the list seems to just go on and on. I guess I am just going to have to find some time to go see it again. The fact of the matter is I am in love with Robert Langdon (the character, not Tom Hanks-though I think he was a good choice for casting). I think I just love men in academia. He is smart. I love smart men. I think for that reason above all others I will go see the movie again. I am about half way through Angels and Demons and I was psyched to hear Dan Brown's next book is going to be another Robert Langdon novel. sigh. I am not sure I can wait for it.
