I have two things to say.
First: I hate being wrong.
I swear to God when these (Sneaux) shoes first came out I went to the website and I swear the audio on the site said it was pronounced S-new-x. This was probably at least a year ago, maybe even more. Well I went back to the site tonight and the audio on the site now says snow. Fucking Snow shoes...I hate being wrong, and now I feel like a total jack ass. I have been saying S-new-x at work for as long...well...since we got them. Now I am wrong and stupid.
Second: I hate impatience.
About a week ago I wrote about my parents computer crashing. I did what I could. Tech support said we needed to reformat the HD. She also told me that if we needed to save anything from the HD we would have to pull out the physical HD and plug it into another computer, copy the files, reformat it, then plug it back into the other computer and copy the files back. It sounds easy enough. We just needed to find a computer and someone who knew what they were doing 'cause I sure as hell didn't. Well, even if we had wanted to reformat right then they didn't have the recovery discs. The Tech Guy my dad uses sometimes had them. Okay, so it takes my dad until today (Wed) to get the recovery discs back, and the Tech Guy says their other computer is working fine. So my dad asks if we can reformat the HD. I am dumbfounded....No, we have gotten the tech guy to copy the files yet. Well, my dad said he didn't ask, and he wasn't going to. This kind of pisses me off...okay it really pisses me off. I don't have anything priceless on their computer, but I know they have family pictures, videos, etc. Things that cannot be replaced. And he just wants to wipe them. Well I read some where that a recovery will not wipe the data files. It was a mistake to tell my dad that, cause that made him decide he going to do the recovery. Which...duh-ta-da-da....wiped everything, even the data files. My dad was just tired of not having computer(which I understand), and not being able to play cards, fucking solitaire, which is partly his own fault cause he gave away the discs, and didn't ask the tech guy about copying the files. It just pisses me off. Even more so cause not only did this computer have it's files on it, but it had the old PC files on it too, and now they are all gone....ALL FUCKING GONE!!!
God, I am being a little more vulgar than usual. But I'm not feeling well, and I am pissed off. I guess I should take this as a learning experience, and get to backing up my laptop.
