Watching What You Eat

I picked up the New York Times today after my Psych. class. I was flipping through the paper trying to find the art section, and saw this picture. I felt like I just had to share. I don't know if you can call this the power of graphic design, or advertising, or photography, or what you would call it, but I knew immediately, without even reading anything in the article this was about health and food.

Canto (age 25) on the left was eating a 445 calorie diet (equivalent to a human's 2000 calorie diet). Owen (age 26) on the right was eating a 885 calorie diet (equivalent to a human's 3000 calorie diet). As you can see Canto is just aging better. So the moral of the story is if you eat better you will be healthier and age better. Who'd a thunk it? )

Things to note:
It should be noted that the average life of a rhesus monkey (the monkeys above) is only about 27 in captivity.

Also please forgive the bad scan, but it came from the newspaper. There wasn't a lot I could do.

This article can be found in the New York Times Science Section, and with any luck this is a permanent link the story. Also there is a better picture there as well.
