New Year's Date

So now that Christmas is over (close enough anyway) I guess it is time to look to the next holiday. No, not Valentines-New Years. Every year I try to make plans for New Years; a party, an event, a trip, something fun and memorable-and every year it just seems to fall a little flat. Sometimes really flat. And everyone I talk to is soft about making plans. None of my friends want to commit to New Years plans with me 'cause something better just might come along. This leaves me out in the cold a little. So I am looking for a New Years date. God only knows where I might find one, but I am off from work until the new year (after tomorrow) so I guess I will have to go out an look. I just wish I had the guts to ask the person I would like to be out with on New Years-that are learn how to make a fictitious person real.
