Last post of the year...it could quite possibly be a long one.

Can you imagine what this post is going to be about. I feel like I have a lot to say to bring a close to 2007. But lets start with the simple stuff. Now is the time for New Years resolutions. There are a lot this year, and I am sure some will go by the wayside, but here is to hoping they all go as planned.

2008 News Years Resolutions:

1. Make more phone calls-I have the bare minimum plan with my phone company and never seem to use more than 100 minutes. I have friends and family that I really should talk to more often. So I am going to try to call at least one person once a week.

2. Blog more-I do pretty good all and all with the blog but I want to be more consistent and more topic based. Therefore I am starting yet another blog: weekbyweek2008.blogspot.com or One Week @ a Time. I am hoping to do a week in review kind of thing, but if that doesn't work out at least one post a week about something will suffice. Thats 52 posts in a year; not to unreasonable.

3. Read more-I figure 2 books a month; that is 24 in a year, that isn't too bad of a goal to have. I am going to try to set up a little online book club for the reads so if anyone is interested drop me a line at elusiveblue@gmail.com

4. Do one new thing a month-This doesn't seem like an unreasonable goal either. That is only 12 new things in a year. I have been known to be something of a hermit so to get out and spread the wings a little is a good idea. It can be something as simple as trying new food, or as complex as going on vacation to somewher I have never been before.

5. Write more email-this is kind of the same as the whole phone call thing. I have a lot of people that I should drop a line to more often than I do. So it is going to be at least one email to one person once a week.

6. Be healthy-this is an old classic but basically it is eating healthier and exercising more. By my birthday I want to be able to walk into ANY store and buy something that fits me.

7. Get organized and stay organized-this means cleaning up more, and working things into the electronic organizer. The checkbook things went a good two years, but it has fallen by the wayside-maybe I should include that in this as well.

8. Maintaining a personal website-this is the last one, I want to get my personal site and portfolio site up and running and maintained for the whole year.

I think I am going to leave it at that. I still have more to day, but I am leaving it for another day. Maybe for the first post on 2008.
