Sucked In Again!!!

This story must stop off topic...
I am a flair addict. If your a facebooker there is this application called "Piece of Flair." They give you a little piece of virtual cork board and then you go through and pick flair buttons to put on it. So I was scanning through the flair vault and came across this button that said "Save Midnight Sun." This peaked my curiosity.

Now the story begins...
So I went to Stephenie Meyer's website, and read and interesting statement. It looks like an incomplete rough draft of Midnight Sun was leaked on the Net. Midnight Sun is/was Stephenie Meyer's next book. Basically it was suppose to be Twilight from Edward's perspective.

Since it has been leaked Meyer's has more than hinted that it won't be published. She made quite the to do about having a link to it on her site so people would have to go ferret out an illegal copy somewhere.

First off, since before Breaking Dawn came out it was being circulated that it would be the end of the Twilight Saga. So where would that leave Midnight Sun? The theory I have is that it was leaked intentionally. She could then make the big to-do about it, link to an un-finessed draft and never have to finish writing a story that people were expecting but she didn't want to finish. She keeps her fans relatively happy and compliant and she doesn't have to expend anymore energy on a series she wants to get out from underneath.

My biggest problem. I downloaded the draft, and have been once again sucked in. If he wasn't Darcy incarnate before he is now. I am 90 pages into the 264 page draft. I am more than a little disappointed with myself. Ugh...I'll know I'll finish it...sad sad girl...
