Being a Part of History

I was born in...the early 80s. I have been alive for 4 whole presidencies/7 terms in office (working on my 5th). I have only been able to vote in 2 elections (working on my 3rd). I hear people say, "my vote wont really matter so I am not going to bother." I have had people say to me, "I live in a Red State and I am a Blue person so why should I bother"...I even heard people complaining about having to stand in line for 40 minutes to vote.

These kind of things boggle my mind. There are people in other countries who stand in line for HOURS for the PRIVILEGE to vote. How do you expect to evoke change it you don't "stand up" and make your position heard...that is what you are doing when you're voting.

And if for nothing else, this is going to be and exceptionally historical year...no matter who wins. Shouldn't people want to be a part of that? Don't you want to be able to tell your kids, "I voted for 'so-in-so' " when they ask about the first ever ___blank___ in American history.

I was so excited I voted early :)

So take a little time out of your busy day on Tuesday and go be apart of something that will get a few extra lines in the history books...despite the rain, the wind and the cold please go vote!
