The Longest Break-Up Ever

I have to admit that I was probably not in the best of mind-sets to see this movie. But I still have to say, don't bother going to see The Break-Up. Have you ever broken up with someone you were in love with? Have you ever broken up with someone you just really liked? Was it because you or he/she or both of you did something stupid? Well there you have it. I do have to give kudos to Vince and his crew for the story idea. I mean it really did hit home. A woman saying something a man didn't understand because she was being too subtle, and woman saying what she really meant to late to get credit for it, but hey at least she came up with a way for him to understand it. This movie reinforced for me the fact that men really don't get hurt. Not the way women do. And women tend to want too much for too little. I have to say boys, I am as tired of the mind games as you are, and if you guys would just stop thinking we were psychotic when we try to lay the games aside then it might all work out. But let me just stop bitching about my man trouble and get back to the movie.

Vince Vaughn played the P-E-R-F-E-C-T (when I say perfect I am mean typical) man in that he was what every typical man is. I know that sounds like a glowing compliment (which in some ways it is) but it really isn't. And it is my opinion that Jennifer Aniston played an over-the-top typical woman...but hey I don't want to admit that I have tried, in vain, to show a guy what he is missing out on. So maybe she hit the nail on the head too...but I just don't want to admit it. Overall I was embarrassed through a lot of it (not American Pie/Meet the Parents embarrassed-just "God don't let me do that" embarrassed). Disappointed through some of it. And mildly amused through a couple of parts. It really ended the way it had to (and I will leave that at that)...I should have waited for it to come out on video...
