World AIDS Day 2008

Today is world AIDS day, and December is AIDS awareness month. Take a little time to care, take a little time to notice and take a little time to help. Don't think you can, I beg to differ. It might not seem like much, it may even seem silly but every little bit counts. It can be something simple like learning something new. Did you know that over 56000 people are infected with HIV in the United States each year, but that number is decreasing with the help of HIV testing. Or you can help by donating, and even nickels count. Go to your local Starbucks and see if they are participating in the Join (RED) campaign. If they are they will donate 5 cents to the Global Fund for every hand crafted beverage they sell on Dec. 1.

All it will take is our tenacity, our knowledge and our acceptance to end one of this planet's global epidemics
